“God made the world out of Himself. The world itself is God. All that is outside us is God. When we have dedicated our lives to the benefit of humanity, we have dedicated ourselves to God”. Yoga Sutras of Patanjali by Swami Satchidananda.

“Seeds of past Karma can not germinate if they are roasted in the fires of divine wisdom”. Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yoganada.

I teach Hatha Yoga, a free-flowing, gentler style with emphasis on breath and holding postures for longer durations.

Teaching classical Hatha yoga as it was taught originally is my passion. My teaching style emphasizes yoga that can take care of your physical form as well it can still your mind, so your body can sit for meditation and can calm your over-worked mind and longing soul. In our crazy-paced world, I want my students to ease up their pains, gain clarity of thoughts, and leave calmer rather than thinking of yoga as “just another workout”. I always address different issues students might have and use appropriate asana to deal with them. I teach according to age levels, always willing to learn from my students who teach us in so many different ways.

Inspired by my students, I developed a new class that I call “Breathe, Stretch and Meditate”. It is a very gentle class but very powerful for your well-being. Total focus of the class is on relaxation. It includes different breathing techniques, wide range of stretches, a long Savasana (the resting pose) and class ends with a guided meditation. Great for beginners, people with injuries, or if you are not looking for action and simply want to unwind and find some peace of mind.

My practice has changed my life, me as a person and the way I think. It has taken me way beyond the physical form of yoga. If your practice has not changed your thinking, made you calmer and peaceful, changed your perception of life, or has not taught you to be more tolerant, it may be the time to look deeply within and study the real yoga and start exploring Yoga Sutras of Patanjali.

Struggling daily between work, life, family, duties, responsibilities, challenges of running my own business, teaching yoga and so on, I still make this humble offering of teaching yoga to any one whom it might help to open new doors to enlightment and self-realization. I feel very blessed to be one of the carriers of this esteemed light. I humbly thank all for being with me on this journey, whether learning with me or supporting me and especially my students who trust me every day.

Namaste

Some of ageless saying that you will often hear in my classes:

“Yoga done properly is not competition, even with yourself”. The Spirit and Practice of Moving into Stillness by Erich Schiffmann.

“All of our instincts were once experiences. That’s why the fear of death exists. We know well the pang of death”. Yoga Sutras of Patanjali by Swami Satchidananda.

“When we have nothing to posses, we have nothing to worry about. All worry si due to attachments and clinging to possessions”. Yoga Sutras of Patanjali by Swami Satchidananda.
